Eid Mubarak!

Time flies so fast, I can't believe a month has gone. When Ramadhan month was approaching, I was extremely nervous on how things will be. I was afraid I won't be able to survive having to prepare sahur and iftar by myself, especially because many things aren't available here in Switzerland so I would have to improvise in terms of food. Plus, fasting and prayer times are so different therefore would have to wake up very early (and sleep very late). Buuuuuut, I survived. We made it through. Wow! This is my first time celebrating Ramadan and Eid as a minority, and it sure feels very different (and lonely). For today's Eid prayers, we drove to the Indonesian Embassy in Bern and celebrated with new friends there. Life feels very different but to experience new things every single day is surely a blessing in itself. Eid Mubarak! :)
