Hye Sis Diana! :D
I love this post (http://dianarikasari.blogspot.com/2011/11/bubbly.html) of yours because you have a nice voice, and you were singing my favorite song! Other than that, that video brought me to your lovely blog. When I first saw you in that video, I thought you were like 18 or 19, but OMG I was shocked to know that you're 28 and MARRIED! I really love your sense of fashion and you're cute! Even if I didn't win this giveaway, I'm glad that I told you this! I know it's kind of late, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY! May Allah bless you and grant happiness to you and your beloved ones! :D

My favorite post would be your "LOVE EARTH" project back in 2010. Simply because you've made such effort to prevent global warming and (hopefully) to inspire others to think and act green! Moreover, I won the LOVE EARTH bag which I still use until now! Thanks to you, I hope the other 100 winners will think the same, and that's why I choose this post as my favorite :)

First, ah kate spade! I love their wallets! But it doesn't look like a wallet :P

Anyway, my favorite post has to be your wedding post with all those beautiful photos. My boyfriend is Bengali and I'd always anticipated that my wedding would be incredibly ornate and very conservative (and therefore that I would not enjoy it :( ) but it's nice to see real weddings that still maintain the authenticity of a culture and yet have a modern approach. Also my best friend has been planning this wedding since the day we got together so we were both freaking out about all the ideas we got from your photos. Just beautiful :)

It's gonna be a super long comment :D

Hi Kak Di, Glad you asked the readers to tell the most fav post of us, when you said the requirement to win your giveaway I directly know which one is my super most favourite blog post of you.
It's the one with tittle "Because I Couldn't Sleep, I Decided To Write". I read it many times.

Basically I'm a huge of fans of you. I know you from deviant art And then I realize you have a blog from a fashion magz. Since that time your blog is always haunting me, and finally I create a blog on 2009. There are so many things that you post on your blog happen in my real life, and also about relationship. heheh. your blog post strengthen me to have LDR with my boyfriend :D

And yes, until I read your blog post "Because I Couldn't Sleep, I Decided To Write" I know that blog post is sooooo me. Here's the story:
I wanna go to college majoring "design" but Mom does not allow me, she thought that is just like a hobby, no need to take a school, while I really love designing and drawing. Finally I took management at another city. I know that is not my passion, even crying on my first month of college days, I really wanna go home and try design. But I still do my best to finish my bachelor degree with a very nice results in 4 years, I become the best student at Int'l mngement department.heheh. Alhamdulillah.
To kill my 4 years, I sell handmade accessories through FB, blogging, and I joint a cinematography club where I fall in love with photography :D

After that again I asked my self what I wanna be, all my classmate work in bank. I don't wanna be like them, sitting earlier morning until the night is not me. I want a job that can explore my creativity. After that I apply some job, eventhough mom and day asked me to take master degree. Actually I wanna take master degree but one side, I don't want to take master degree if I should take management again, in other side I feel ashame when I still need to ask money from parents while my classmate at college has already working and has their own money.
Finally parents permit me to find a job, half of their heart. And I don't know why there is always something wrong when I apply job, I just try to read the signs from unwilling things happen when I apply some jobs.

Finally I take master degree and take a very cute major that is "Early childhood Education". I love every things I get from my lecturer and books about childhood education. Beside that I also joint a photography school while taking my master degree. I also has a hijab online store.

Do I forget my dream to work in creative industry? Never! I'm still keeping my dream to create something with my name and appreciated by people. Yes, everyday I'm still keep questioning what I wanna be to myself, that keeping me and my dreams alive because asking that question makes me think hard of so many ideas to realize and dig. Here's my clue:

-Pray and permit from parents is really important. God hear all their prayers.
-Dream big is not a sin, for me dreaming is like praying continuously to God and someday I believe that God will notice it.
-It's true that everybody has their own way, but we create it, God just keep us on track, we can improvise it. For example, if I don't take management maybe I never know or getting interest with photography even having a good camera that time. God always know the best for us. Keep that in mind.
- So keep dreaming and put love in everything you do, eventhough when you don't like it. always do your best, but you have to still find a way to reach your dream. Eventhough you have to walk so far to reach your dream, but sure they'll come when you walk on the right direction. Walked based on God scenario to reach your dream.
-Don't stop believing and keep questioning what you wanna be if you are not found it yet. It's good to keep you life to the fullest. If you already find the answer congratulation I envy you, and keep at your good work :D

Cheers
YULIA RAHMAWATI

Practically all your posts are my fave. Because somehow, your posts especially about life seem to coincide directly with mine. But if I have to pick only one post, it will have to be "Because I Couldn't Sleep, I Decided to Write", Sept 5,2012.

I can remember that day clearly, I just had my regularization on my 3rd job and I felt restless. I should have been happy that day but I realized I am stuck in a rut...in the rat race. I read your post the whole shift, printed copies and plastered it on my wall. I realized, I maybe just like you...shifting from company to company finding my passion. I wanted to quit right then and there but cannot do so immediately because of financial issues. Though I am still in my company right now, I am saving up for my passion. I dream of someday travelling the world and write up stories about it to tell the world (just like you!). But until then, a print-out of your blogpost is staring back at me reminding me everyday to never stop dreaming and fight for my passion. because life is too short to settle for what others want me to do. You must fight hard and never be afraid to fail. For failures only exist when you don't try.

Winning the prize is just a bonus for me. The thought of you reading this post is enough. Just keep on blogging, sharing and living your quirky life. There are plenty of girls (and boys) like me that you inspire daily.

I hope to one day, meet you in person whilst I start on my travel around the world.

xoxo,
J from Manila

Hey KAK D,
Okay so here's the deal, you might be bored of people saying how you are just a pure source of inspiration and that you are so talented as a person and how you were so inspiring to the Fashion World...That is all Bloody True... i could go on on how much i admire your blog.. it could be a whole page full... but obviously that isn't what this comment is about.. you might ask what is my favourite post? I would say, my ultimate Favourite POST would have to be the FEATHERS.... Just because every time i see it, it also reminds me of VOGUE UK'S PHOTO SHOOT "MIDAS TOUCH" and that was just and epic and phenomenal photo shoot... your post just had this Egyptian Rock to it but with a certain Glamour which is undeniably hard to find around.... if you would see your post would have the same sheer texture to your clothing piece and that it will still be conservative and mysterious at the same time.. that is really what caught my eye... and how that golden maxi skirt just flowed from the top more of a Loose-tightfit and letting go at the bottom just give an extra score to the look... And must i say i'm literally obsessed with that headpiece... its just so cute, quirky and Fun... really NOTHING can ever go wrong with that headpiece. NOTHING. So that is my flow of boredom and how i just splurge on my choice of words and hopefully win this Giveaway.

Yang paling inzepiratifhh ya "Because I Couldn't Sleep, I Decided To Write" (terbukti dari banyak dan panjaaaangnya comment yg jawab begitu). This is the highlight behind ur 5 years of blogging.

It really encourages me! :) thanks for being my virtual teacher kak di! <3

Hello Di!

Well, it's very nice to you to have this giveaway. I mean, it's Kate Spade! *drooling* Can I say it's already my favorite post because you'll give Kate Spade for free? No? Huh, OK, I'll choose another post :p

It's kinda hard to choose my favorite post, because you've posted a lot. with all our difference in fashion taste, or thought, I found out that you always entertain me with you cute outfit, meaning and meaningless thoughts. So, what to do, what to do?

And then, I found this post. It's not a long one, it even doesn't contain any pictures of your FOTD as usual. But I love it? Why? Because it's the beginning of something. It's a start either for you, and for us to have such as beautiful things. It's a hope, because finally there is another good local brand that we can trust, that we can finally be proud of. You've changed our life, Di, my life, I don't care if it's only a little thing, only a shoes, but you know, with good ones, woman can conquer the world, can't her? :)

So, my favorite post will be "Up, Up, and Away!!" from here (http://dianarikasari.blogspot.com/2010/12/lookits-up.html). Because, since that I've been a loyal fans, waiting pleasantly what surprise UP will publish next. Because since that, I've been believing that nothing's possible if you'll try. No matter what major you enroll, as you have a dream, right?

And then, what my life would be without UP? To be honest, the first time I opened UP's website, I really wanted to have it all, because they're so good, and I'm so excited to tell all my friends, here and abroad that, "Hey, it's UP! Made in Indonesia, by one of our fashion blogger. It's cute, don't you think?"

So, Di, that's my favorite post for you ever, for these five years you've been blogging. Cheers! :)

http://dianarikasari.blogspot.com/2012/12/up-lookbook.html

why I really love and feel happy about this post is that we all know you are really hard working person, you know what you are doing and what your passion is. This UP lookbook is one of your great achievements as entrepreneur and blogger. It really motivated me a lot and most of people I am sure. You're such an inspiring woman. You proved to people that you can do it.

And I just love your answer when some people asked why you used foreigner model. When I read that, I'm so proud of you.

I don't remember what post is it (sorry) but you told us your story how you could turn to decide to be an entrepeneur and listen to your heart, resigned from your work in a company and focused on doing your own business.

all of your works is motivated us and thank you so much to be a blogger and be inspiring woman. :)

Hello Kak Di.
My fav post is " Tug At The Heartstrings".
It shows how one writing can effect one's life journey.
That life can bring you to place you never knew you would go,to the 'future' loved/close people in your life in an unexpected ways.
That small things can lead to bigger ones.
And it shows that LIFE IS A CHAIN OF EVENTS.
You can never connect them looking forward, you can only connect them looking backward.

Hi Diana,

My favorite post would be "Because I Couldn't Sleep, I Decided to Write".

Ok, that's all. Tetep berkarya ya :) Happy Belated Birthday, semoga ke depannya semakin banyak dilimpahi hal2 baik dalam segala bidang, dan usaha Up-nya semakin berkembang :)

hi, sis :)
it's very nice of a blogger like you who love your followers and your visitors by giving a giveaway. well, because I have nothing to do right now, I guess it's okay to join your giveaway :)

I confess that I don't really excited with your blog at the first time because of your personality that very very strange. you're just like 'one in million'-lady. but then I realize something. I have read so many fashion blogs and no one can beat you. you act and show to the world who you really are and still appreciate little things in your life, even the haters.

I'm truly understand what you feel when someone send you an email and said so many bad things to you. I ever felt being hated by all my friend when I was kid and that was horrible.

I ever read a post of yours about your action with your haters and that's give me something and I should understand that we can't refuse what our haters said about us, but we can take it as a correction. then I think, those haters actually love us by giving comments (even in wrong way) which can bulit our spirit to be better person. am i right? :)

the problem is I can't remember the tittle your post I mention here and I can't find it. I just found your post "Keep Calm and Move On" and i read the last comment on it (from the applerome). and it was a really mean comment.

but I guess all the mean comments were addressed for you just a small bump to reach your dream. the fact is they are (the haters) make you stronger. all you do is just keep positive thinking and grateful with your life.

all I wanna say is you are really wonderful, sis. and I guess the success you have reach till today, (your blog, UP, your sweet husband, your carrier) is worth it. you deserve get what you have now. :))

by the way, happy birthday :)

"Life can be very hard at times, but never for once say life sucks. God made us exist in this world for a reason, and for a mission. Just try to look at the bigger picture.."

I'm not really sure the precise date but it was last year when I read that phrase of yours on your blog. Then right after, I wrote it on a sticky notes to reminds me to stay positive everyday. And let me tell you, it may be not the longest blogpost of yours nor the perky one. But one thing for sure, it's the most precious post of yours for me. It has change my whole perpective towards life.

I'm a victims of bullying since the first grade of elementary school up until the next 12 years, which is right now. I didn't have a single friend or a person who would just listen to my voice. I came home from school crying everyday. All I did in my bedroom just do my homework and cried. Then I made myself an outcast, it's so hard for me to greet people back then since I'm too afraid if they will hate me too. Also, I didn't have any hobby nor interest. I didn't what to try things. I hated my life. Basically I hated myself. But then last year, I saw that blogpost. It made me thought "maybe i was just to harsh to my self..."

Now, I've changed. I loves my life. I found my hobby and interest. Maybe I still bullied, I still don't really have that one best friends who will accompany me everywhere everyday, but I've found a bunch of great people who lives 120 KMs away from my hometown. I'm staring to do thing that I like, which is singing (even tho I'm absolutely CAN'T sing). I can help the other victims of bullying to make them feels safe and find a way to make feels better, I want they to still have dreams.

How? your words helps. Your words made me look up to the bigger picture: "Maybe God made me go through bullying so I can have this lesson, this experience that will help me to be able to help the other. Makes the other still have hopes in their life. Still smiling no matter how hard life goes."

Sorry for the long comment, I just want to tell how thankful I am to be able to know you. To learn from you.

Thank you, Kak Di. <3

Actually, its really hard to choose which one is my favorite. Like "Alhamdulillah" you just won the international young creative entrepeneur award 2012 it was very proud, and you become one of the bloggers who have been invited to "paris fashion week" oh damn how lucky you are, i love paris so much and i wanna go there someday, and i love "hongkong trip" or "singapore" "london" or everywhere you go, i wanna go there too. And how about "the little things that made us happy" it just like the little thing that made me happy too. And about "my daily motivation" or "because i couldnt sleep, i decided to write" its was extremely motivating, change my thinking for the better, and thank you so much have become my inspiration kak di. BUT all of my favorite blogs, "the wedding" was the best. from invitations, wedding dress, wedding concept, just everything was perfect and I really love it. because I think marriage is the culmination of a woman's happiness

everything never like what it seems said...

Well, i've been reading your blog since about 3 years ago. i love your taste of fashion its like break the rules and teach me how to mix and match without any boundaries.

Anyway, what i love the most in your blog is all of your thoughts, its opening wider my mind and encouraging me.
Honestly lately I'm having problems and made me think that only me who have to experienced this, but when I opened your blog today, I read your post, entitled Stay Calm & Eat Cookies there you write a few sentences that made me realized that i was wrong, i have believe that God is always kind to us no matter what it takes. even if we got so many problems, just believe that we cant have a rainbow without a little rain :)

your superpowerwords are:
"People change so don't expect them to stay the same forever. Let us grow and become a better version of ourselves, with or without the support from people we wished we would always have. We lose and we gain people in our lives. Because maybe, there isn't enough space for too many people in our hearts. Expect life to be exciting, because it really is. "

Hi! ^^
My favorite blog post is your "Bedside Lamp", this one: http://dianarikasari.blogspot.com/2011/12/bedside-lamp.html (in case you forgot, keke :P)
Because when I read that post, I was super sad because I heard someone gossiped something bad about me, behind my back. And that person is the one I really love and care. :(
But after I read your post, I started to cheer up, think positively and keep doing good to that person. And that, makes me feel so peace, I don't care anymore whether she actually dislike me pr not, as long as I'm still be good to her, that's fine. I'm no longer sad anymore.
Suwper thank you for being such an inspiring person for me. Keep blogging & inspiring! Love ya! :D

Hi sis Diana. my fave post of your blog is: "Because I Couldn't Sleep, I Decided To Write"

actually, I love your every post. with cute stuffs and quirky outfits. sometimes you wear some outfit that has colour crash, but magically you can make it looks so fabulous and glamour. and it may can be your identity which makes you different with the others fashion bloggers that I know.
but beyond that, I honestly more like your post about your personal life. maybe it sounds so nosy, but I just wanna know more about "the real" you :)
I always think that you're a perfect person. pretty, warm family, so stylish and can have whatever you want, but when I read that post, I realized that no one perfect. have "Up" shoes, have a husband who loves you so much, can mix match cloths are your result as your hard work and sacrifices.
it inspires me to work hard to reach my dreams and always be thankful to Allah for every single thing that He gave for me.
it makes me happy because you may can notice me by read my comment here :)

keep inspiring and stylish. don't forget to be thankful to Allah always.
sukses selalu buat kak Diana. Allah bless you :)

Yeay! Another giveaway!

Hot chocolate and mint is my favorite blog since forever. ;)

My favorite post is gotta be "Me." 21 Oct 2010.

It just so deep and that is when you truly full fill your passion and follow your heart in making your life decision. It reflect all of us in life, of what we really want, deciding life route, achieving our life potential, and other questions that have wandering in our mind about life.

You also remind all of us of two important aspect in life in that post, which are 'letting go' and 'moving forward'.

And I like it when you mention success is that stage of having no regret when you die. And it is not just define by having a great career in multinational comp. You also mention about feeding expectation is the mother of frustration.

I read that post 2 years ago and during that time, I don't really get you, why can't you just enjoy and keep up with both world?

Now, it finally make sense to me. What you did is just inspiring! And it change my definition of success.

I always pray for you, diana! Keep it up! I hope you blog even you're 86 years old! ;)

Right after I watched this giveaway video, I know that I should write this comment. Partly because I wanna win, mainly because I just love this post so much: "Because I Couldn't Sleep, I Decided To Write". (http://dianarikasari.blogspot.com/2012/09/because-i-couldnt-sleep-i-decided-to.html)

Before I read that post, I thought your life is so perfect. You know what you wanted to do in your life since young age and you can have whatever you want easily.

While actually you also have those times when you don't know what path you should take, which I feel too. But you got through it very well, and now you become the YOU, the person that inspire me since I was in high school.

Thank you thank you thank you for sharing that post! It makes me feel better everytime I read it :)

Happy birthday! :)

P.S. You should write a book! I love your writing.

Hi Diana,
:) so have heart even you're living your life differently.

Actually i love all your post about your thought...but if i have to choose, my favorite post is "My Daily Motivations"

I love how you always remind me (us) about our purpose in this life. I love your blog, coz it is not all about fashion, but you also put some life advice in your posts. deep advice, deep thought of life, like you did in "my Daily motivation".

Dear Kak Di,
Hi Kak :) my name is Nadya. Here’s my favorite blog post from you that have given me a boost of confidence and a sprinkling of hope:

When Life Hits You
To me, this is an example of how much of a strong and positive person you are, even though I am not married (yet), I already know that I want to have children (I even have their names picked out already hihi) and the dissapoinment, sadness and anger you must have felt when you found out that you lost your baby, I can’t even bear to imagine how it felt.

“It's sad to know that something had lived and died inside me. But I always believe that Allah is kind, and this, for whatever reason, was for the best.

So yes. Life is amazing, because it hits you and hugs you within seconds. And in a minute, you learn something big, something new, something eye-opening. That life, moves quickly, and forward. Stay positive, people...God is always kind...:)”

My father is very much a realists, and he would always say to me “don’t laugh too hard cause something bad is sure bound to happen to dampen your happiness anyway, so why bother” I had been such a pessimists all these years because of those words (and my lack of self confidence), but that changed when I read these last few sentences from you post, it shook me to my core. That May I just found out I had failed one of my classes at Uni, and I was so angry and grief stricken but then I read this post on the way home and I mentally kicked myself saying “How stupid and childish are you? so you failed a class, so what? You can repeat it in the next semester, work harder and move on! Someone just lost a baby, someone out there probably just lost their home, their job, their loved one, and you’re here crying over over a C-? Wake up! Don’t cry over it! Do something about it! Everything happens for a reason” Now I know that I can choose to live in happiness no matter how many sticks and stones life throws at me, I AM the only one who can dampen my own mood, my own happiness! So,Thank you for sharing this post with me Kak Di :)

Well, that's my favorite post from your blog Kak Di, Thank you so much for your inspiring blog, it really is A Modern Girl’s Guide (I think even guys could learn so much from your blog) from fashion, to events, to beauty tips and to simple but on-the-dot thoughts that turns into motivations for me and all your many readers. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for deciding to write a blog and making it as wonderful and whimsical as it always has been since 2007. Thank you

-Nadya

Hi Kak Di!
I do really love your post TWO AND A HALF CENTS
I read it last year but your statements keep staying in mind until now.
When I read it, "Oh my God! she's right!".
Before, I watched it but not paying many attention because I think it's such a creepy show with the volunteers faking their cry.
After reading your post, I realized something. I watched it again, paid attention, and then I felt kinda angry. You're right. It really is inappropriate how the volunteers said such 'sad' statements and cried to point out how miserable the poor's life is in front of their face.
Then I paid more attention to the poor, and they did look really sad. It might happen that they just 'realized' their life is really that poor. Even I, viewer, felt really inconvenient to hear and watch it, how about them?
I can't agree more with "we should support him to never feel disheartened, for life, no matter what, works in many different ways".
and yeah giving money isn't the only way to help people, but can be done also by giving moral support and respect.
Thanks Kak for making us realized it all. Please keep inspire us by your awesome posts <3

Haaai Kak Diana Rikasari :)))
TWO AND A HALF CENTS kak.

Kenapa gitu?

Stay gorgeous and awesome deh buat kak Diana Rikasari. XOXO.

Overall I love all your blog posts, but if you ask me what's my favourite I'd say this one: "Because I Couldn't Sleep, I Decided To Write." To tell you the reason I think I need to tell a story first.

I'm a 12 grader student which means I'm insya Allah going to college next year. At that time, I was in a dilema. I myself want to take architecture. However, my parents want me to take medical. They were somehow sure I could learn medical. In other hands I think I can't. I've never been the biggest fans of biology. I don't like remind things, maybe it has something to do with my forgetfulness hehe. Moreover, my aunt and even my grandparents were sure I should take medical. I can't say that I'm perfect for architecture either. Let's just say physics isn't my strength.

After reading your post I realised that my future is in my own hand. If we don't follow our passion then we'd be living as such a fool for ourselves. Moreover, after reading your post I took the courage to talk to my father and told him what I wanted. He surprisingly understood :-) I don't know yet how my future's gonna be, but at least I try to get what I want. I guess it's right that we'd regret things that we didn't do more than the ones we had done. Last but not least, thanks for being such an inspiration for me Kak Di.

Halo kak Di.

Lots of people loved your posts about huuuuge things, and well, i loved them too! But what i love the most about your blog is that you see the little things, the details. Not everyone thinks little things matter, but they do! That is why, my favourite post(s) of yours are the Little Things That Made Us Happy, but to be specific, i love #1. You and S are such detailed person, and grateful for the little things, and i love that. I love how S is verrrrrry happy that you picked him at work. lots of people won't even be thankful that someone they cared about picked them at school/campus/work. Janis sendiri orangnya suka banget sama details, and sometimes orang-orang suka 'whatever' tentang details, tapi to me it means a lot. And your little things made me happy because i could feel the happiness you're feeling when you wrote that. So i really appreciate and tagged all the Little Things That Made Us Happy posts my favourite because the post itself is such a happy post, and made me feel happy too.

Have a happy holiday kak!

Dear kak di,

First at all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAK! I've been stalking your blog since last year, and everypost you posted always inspired me so much . You're the coolest person i ever know after my mom and my dad hehe:D

Anyway, i love your "Bedside Lamp" post. Every sentences you wrote are truly touching inside my heart. I even cried after read it, dan sampe mikir "Kok pas banget sama gue ya? haha :'D". You know kak, i've been bullied since i was in elementary school, but the most hurt my heart is when i get bullied by my friends in junior high school (now i'm 13 and 8th grader). It's make me sad, i'm truly sad :(. Mostly, temen-temen aku demen banget ngehina aku. They call me shorts, fat, ugly, stupid, and even one of my classmate call me "blay" (yah you know lah kak what i mean). Sampai-sampai sahabat aku yang kukira mereka gak bakal ngebully aku ngebully aku juga-_-. I wondered why they like to bother with harsh sentences to me. Padahal mereka orang-orang mampu dan terdidik semua. Kok kalimat mereka bisa segitu kotornya ngehina aku tanpa alasan. Padahal aku gak ngapain-ngapain sama mereka. I really angry with them, but what can i do? The bullies are body bigger than me (i'm short btw hehe :'D), i just can't against with them. I even cried once in the toilet at school causes of them. Then after i saw and read your post............... i realized to forgived them like what have you said on your post, "If you hate someone, doesn't that mean you have no room in your heart to forgive? Or no space in your mind to tolerate & compromise? Therefore, those who be-enemy others are the ones not owning big hearts, and that's even sadder." Thank you for cheers me up kak, thank you so muuchh to teach me with every sentences you wrote :'). Although there are still of the bullies bully me, i'll keep patient, forgive them, and keep calm. Because i believe Allah YME made us exist in this world for a reason we don't know and our job as humans is to try our best!

cheers,
Tarra :)

http://dianarikasari.blogspot.com/2012/05/when-life-hits-you.html is definitely my favorite.
i dont really know why, but it shows me how big your heart is.
gak banyak orang bisa nunjukin vulnerabality nya di depan sekian banyak orang (walaupun dalam blog form), and you tell us your story untuk ngasih tau bahwa kita harus tetep bersyukur, apapun yang terjadi.
i dont know you in person, but we readers know youre an amazing person by heart :)

I like your Sept 12 2012 post where you posted the quote by Sydney J. Harris. When I read that quote I thought it was hilarious but it also made me think "true, we all lead our own lives which is very different from the next person, we all have different experiences and that makes each of us individual, we can't really go comparing each of us since all of us are so different, what makes life difficult in comparison to others, or easier in comparison to others?" I still haunt myself with this question and I think there is no answer since we can't really weigh our lives qualities depending on our experiences so we can't conclude whether life is difficult or easy. I just thought that quote was so perfect. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Hello Kak D, if you asked what is my favorite post of your blog...the answer is I love it all!!! I wonder what are you thinking while your fingers start to touch those keypads. But the most favorite one is about your personal life especially the posting about your wedding. You know what Kak? I really addicted to wedding, since I just reach my 19 now so I cannot do anything about that thing. All I do is just imagining, and after looking your blog post about your wedding...I simply love it. Those moments, those smiles, parents, pals, must be giving you all the happiness. I adore you, sincerely. Have a nice day !!! :D

I love the atmosphere of creativity in your old bed room.
I always wonder what magic spell you had in your room that made your photos got better and sophisticated in each post, ur look cooler and more creative with ur unique clothes and even more cooler (yes i write that words haha) whenever u write ur thought about anything which always affect my point of view about things u write about.
i don't know am i creepy big fan of u or just envy with ur creativity hehe..

First of all, I’m here not because of that giveaway's brand is 'kate spade' but I’m here because of you. Yes, I’m a huge fan of you since years ago. And that giveaway is from you! I know you knew how I would really feel if I got that giveaway. :)

No need 4 days to read all of your posts, I’ve ever read all of it!! :) Absolutely all of your post is my favorite but I'll let you know which is my (most) favorite one.

Schmile! (Tuesday, September 11, 2012) is my most fave. ;)
Here are my reasons,
You’re so much good in writing sentences, I agree with your every sentence. And that post really shows me and the other readers that you are kind and nice, you ask them to give you questions and then you answer it. It shows that you care to your readers. And I’m proud of it.

The words "fashion knows no age", "that's a personal decision I prefer not to answer" and the answers of "do you always shop when you visit the malls?", "You've been dating S for years before you finally got married. How did you survive that loooong period of time (especially in long distance relationship)? How did you two really make it work?", "Does your husband ever criticize about the way you dress? And if yes, do you follow his advice or not?", "What do you do to the gifts (from online shops or brand) that you don't like or you know you will never wear?", "how you manage your style?" questions are so damn great... Like it very much! Your words really teaches me and shows me that you are a strong woman with brilliant thoughts.

And... The last but not least, besides you’re sentences are cool, your English is very good... There’s no reason to disagree with all of your sentences! :)
I think you might need to write more and more quotes and make a "the Diana Rikasari's thoughts" book. :)

That’s all... Allah always be with me, and if I win or lost this competition is because of Allah. And I know and I will always know that Allah knows the best for me. :)

I love & like you so much kak D!!
Xoxo,
Aliefah Permata Fikri

Always CHEER UP kak D!

posting2 yg lain yg aku suka itu yg "what i wore to work".udh lama bgt itu wktu kk msh kerja.slama ini aku pikir klo kerja, pembawaan kita jd serius trmasuk baju2 yg kita pakai.tyta kak diana bajunya keren2 tp msh rapi.aku praktekin loh skrg.hehehehe.

UP.ohya, sama "what i wore to work".walaupun kak diana udh jd pengusaha,tp aku pengen tau aja klo kak diana meeting dll pake baju apa.hehe

aku tunggu ya kak posting2annya.mudh2an suatu hari bs ketemu kak diana langsung.mmuaach -anesti-

I LOVE "Little Things that made us happy" post

The post really open my eyes and remind me to appreciate little things that often forgotten in my daily life!

We've all been living in such ambitious world, too busy to reach our goal and sometimes forget to appreciate what we have today
We complain too much , we get annoyed more than we should,
and THE WORST, we forget to live in the moment

yes, I am happy with my life,
but I'm not as happy as I should be,
I am having such a good life, I should appreciate it more, and living it up better!!

I try to do it everyday by now, and at the end of the day, after a long challenging day especially, when I read all the list all the way back, I start to smile, being grateful with my life, and becoming more POSITIVE!

I am basically starting my own happiness project right now, and encourage my friends and families to do so!!

I want to become more positive and also having positive impact to my friends, families, and environment!
Again, start from the simple things right :)

How about by making positive resolution in 2013,
share positive quotes to your friends once a week,
compliment them when they feel sad, or do some fun by giving balloons to random people you'll meet in car free day once a month!

thank you again for being such an eye opener!
never been happier :D

Not to blabber much, I particularly love your 'UP' launch announcement. When UP is launched this not only proved the existence of Diana Rikasari, but also your hardwork in achieving your dream.

You might be colorful on the outside and look not as serious as you are, but I heard from people who know you that you're a hard worker and girl, YOU NAILED IT! Keep blogging :)

Its kinda hard choosing which posts that I like the most, cause I love all of your blogpost! Aaaand its hard to choose which one is my favorite. Hm what I like the most about your post is your trip to Paris, from day 1 until day 5. Why I like that post is because, it's my dream to go to Paris and watch the Paris fashion week live. And you've been such an inspiration to me! Starting with doing something that you liked, and people start noticing it, and people start to liking on what you're doing, and then a lot of opportunity that comes, and the opportunity makes you big, like now. And someday i'm gonna be like you, not trying to copy you but we liked the same things and i blogging since 2008 but I don't know what happened to my blog, i can't opened it and the worse it got deleted by i don't know. And it means i have to start all over on what i'm doing in currently 4 years. Enough with the chit chat, so that's what i like about that post, because you're a real example of what i want to become, and i always look up to you. I don't wanna looking forward for winning the giveaway, but you gave me an opportunity to say what i like about you and your blog. So, keep up the good work!

Ahh there are so many comments that already appears, right? Just try, and I'll try joining this giveaway :) So-Hi, Kak Diana I'm Fira from Semarang. from your 2173 blog post that already posted by you, I choose "Because I Couldn't Sleep, I Decided To Write". WHY? I just feel the same like you. I choose electrical engineering while I'm crazy about art and design since kindergarten. I dreamt about being a young architect or interior design but (the same) my dad disagree. Oh my God, I know I'm just too overwhelming but I thought that I'm the only one, the person who think just like "...kept on feeling that something was missing. Inside me." I think about that in every subject class on campus. Studying engineering is so hard for me, yeah I admit that. My sister is also realize my potential on art and design, but she also couldn't do more. Dad is a leader at that time :') I'm just try to respect him. On my last post, I also write about 'something happens for a reason' I hold those words on my mind and ensuring my self that someday I will find 'what I want to be in life' as my desire, my passionate. The differences is... I still hate Mathematics, kak Di. You should know that Math is drivin' me crazy :p ahhh I LOVE YOU KAK DIANAAAA!

I basically love all of your tagged-happiness-project blog posts, but the one I fancy the most is "Little Things That Made Us Happy #4". Judging from the blog post, experimenting in making Chicken Patties and knowing that your husband loves it are blissful! Your happiness-projects blog posts are like memo for us, readers, that even the tiniest act that we do can make us happy and that every cloud has a silver lining. They are motivating, and that's why I adore them.

Little Things That Made Us Happy.

I love 'Because I Couldn't Sleep, I Decided to Write' and it seems like many people love it too :)

the first time I read that post, it really touched me because I was kinda in the same situation like you had. I don't know what I really want to do, and I realize that I don't really like my major. I print screen one sentence from the post and posted it in my instagram. the sentence is: I was able to finally understand the joy of studying. and the caption for it is: when was the last time I felt it?
what I want to say is, I love that post, because I know that there are many people out there feel the same way that I feel and being in the wrong place (you don't fell like in the right major) doesn't mean that I won't be success. someday, I will find what I really like to do.

I love to read inspiring stories and your post inspires me in the very right time.

thank you for the story. wish you luck and success with UP and in your live

The most favorite post for me is "Because I couldn't sleep, I decided to write". I got the moment when some of people told me that my decision to take my college subject was just wrong. And I still run my college until now, and I'm just feel that I'm enjoying my process in studying and learn on this subject. By the way, I like that post because it's very encourage me to keep moving for what I really want to study, and be in the future. No matter how bad sounds from others. Because passion will live our life. Not just being live. But alive because we run it with passion. That was a very good post for me Kak Diana, thank you for your share. xoxo :)

still i have a chance to tell u what my fave post & why..?
if there's no. no matter Kak Di. I just want u to know & share my fave.

projek Kak Di, yang postnya berjudul "1 Step Ahead with Diana
Rikasari".
Seperti Kak Di & Mr.S :-)
(Amin)

jd intinya mau?=komitmen!
ya kan, Kak Di?

because in the end we will marry the character not the beauty.

u two are cutenest couple ever :)

once again thankyou for ur helpful post.

if there's no. no matter Kak Di.

Hi Kak Diiii!!

From all the blog posts, my favorite always been the "Because I Couldn't Sleep, I Decided To Write" post. It's not only a wonderful story, but it's also an INSPIRING story for me. You are truly an inspiration for me. I believe dreams do come true if we fight for it, no matter what happens.

I've been there in that position, where my mom rejected my university selection for several reasons. I tried to convince her, but it didn't work :(. However, I managed to find other university that clicked me, and my mom agreed to it! I'm currently studying my first year at that university, I hope through that study, I can be a successful person as you are! :)

That story of yours also give me courage not to give up finding my true passion, and I hope i can find it really soon!

Once again thanks Kak Di for wrote that post, and thank you for doing this giveaway! I hope i can win it :D :D

Because I Couldn't Sleep, I Decided To Write

I have never read a post which awakened me until you posted that post. Truthfully saying, I was a child who believed in luck and I believed that life will go as what has been planned by God - that we could not change our faith.

So, you know, none of my family members and cousins took Fashion Marketing or Fashion Design for their professional course. All of them either did Business, Accounting, Economics, or anything that is related to that. My dad have his own business and my mom works as a developing manager in a big company. So I thought that I will be like them too, doing planning and all those business stuff. As I saw my other elder cousins also did the same thing - continuing their Dad's business. So I decided to take Business - Marketing in a university abroad.

But then I have blogged at that time, and I started to get many invitations to attend fashion events. I truly enjoyed those moments, meeting people and bloggers who have the same passion with me, which is fashion. I thought about it most of the time, I thought about what will my uncles and aunts say if I went out of the fine line by taking Fashion Marketing to do my professional course. I was afraid that they will shout at me and make my parents be ashamed. Because you know, elder people somehow thought that the fashion industry is just to have fun, not as professional as the other industries, and we don't really make money out of it.. Meanwhile few of my seniors already entered a design university, I asked them about how was it there, and they were like you have to work your a** off there. They showed me what they made (like fashion advertising, color wheel, etc) and I was like whoa I want to do this!

So I decided to talk to my dad regarding to it, my dad did not directly agree and he was a little bit confused because I already studied hard enough for my O'Level so that I will be accepted in the university abroad. I explained why, and he told me that he will see and find out about the college I want to go to first. He went there with me, after seeing the students' work and the potential jobs after graduating, my dad agreed. Yay! Went home, both of us explained to my mom but my mom disagreed. My mom was really smart, she completed her diploma in medicines and her master in business management so she did want me to be like her. But at the end she said, "up to you, I already told you what is the best." So I refused her choices and finally I got accepted in Raffles.

I felt so happy doing my course in Raffles but sometimes I saw my other friends continuing high school and some took Business or Computer for their diploma. I felt left behind or something like that.

It was my third month in college and I saw that post of yours which opened my mind and heart. I started to understand that everyone is different - that we don't have to follow our parents or whoever path. Because at the end of the day, it is your own life, you are the one who live and control it. And I deeply appreciate your bravery to do what you want and love by resigning from your office because I know that finding jobs are not easy. You made me realize that we, human beings, can make something big and great out of something that we love. We simply just need to follow what our hearts say. (cont)

After reading your post, my courage started to come up. I accepted more fashion event's invitations, enrolled for a part-time job in a store, and I finally did what I wanted to do for a long time - to be JFW's press. I enrolled for this year's and I got the allowance. I felt so happy while capturing the models walking and after every shows ended, I know what I want to do and it was an amazing feeling that I never felt before. I also started to make my blog looks more professional by capturing better pictures and changing the layout. I saw the difference, got contacted by magazines to be featured on their pages was truly a blessing and not something I expected when I started my blog.

I used to be afraid to say "Just watch and see." to my family members and other cousins, I was terrified that their prediction will be true (by me continuing my dad's business), so I kept quiet when they started to talk about that. But so far, I have shown them what I got and I started to see their support, especially from my dad, mom, and sister. I know that a lot of your readers were inspired by the post as well and started to chase their dreams one by one, little by little.

The best thing to know after reading the post is that you stand up for what you love. And I am forever-inspired to do that too. Thank you.

Up, Up, and Away!! (http://dianarikasari.blogspot.com/2010/12/lookits-up.html) is the simple post that i love! Eventhough it only consists of 23 words (yes, i counted it :p) but seeing your business grows really fast until now, i feel proud of being your customer! (and being @iwearUP's first followers back then, and get a followback ;). You really showed us how to manage your passion in business and fashion, into something gainful. And yeah, why i love that post, is because the link above is the first introduce of UP, your lovely passion :D

I hope that UP keeps growing and become one of the most favorite shoe brand in Indonesia!

*sorry if there's a grammar mistake, Kak :P

With love,
Dita :)

hello Diana, when you ask which post of yours that i really like surely it is a very hard-to-answer question for me. because i love your posts especially your quotes about facing this world with confidence and proud being ourselves. never give up and do something with passion. but one post i like the most is the first time you introduce your online store, UP. people easily say that they want to do something that they love. something that they really want to do because it is their passion. but the realization is not as easy as its say. and some just give up and even some others forget about what they say earlier about what they really want to do. but out of nowhere you just made it up.. you are the proof that people can do something with their passion. youre really inspired me, Di.

Dear Diana,
I've been reading your blogs for years, and I dont know if you remember, but I stopped you while you were in Plaza Semanggi and took a picture with you :)
I have so many favorite blog posts including the ones when you're dealing with the haters (classy answers, btw) and when you keep encouraging people to dream, and when you say that it is okay to be afraid. However, my favorite is hands-down the post about your wedding. The title is 'the wedding'. It doesnt contain much words, but the pictures said it all. Fashion is something I LOVE so naturally I paid a lot of attention to details. From your white akad outfits (love the gold headdress) and the pink kebaya you wore for the reception, the heart details on the back and the way you tied a ribbon around your head, it's sweet and chic and simple and so you.
Your facial expression and of course of S' were simply radiant with delight. And the wedding gives me hope as well. Your former posts when you have your long distance and the problems that arose were flashing before my eyes, and yet, here you are. If you can do it, why not me? :)

I love Kate Spade, I adore the bags and watches, but you know what, I'm simply happy that you always make moves to reach to your readers. You're not immerse in your own fabulous world, although you of course, have the every right for it. So thank you.
Keep being fabulous and fierce, D!

Love,
Vira

I've been knowing a blogger named Diana Rikasari for long time ago. Before, I don't play on internet too much, I know her from some magazines. "Cool girl" I thought that day.
As I'm into internet, I read hers more often, I appreciate, smile, and favorite almost all posts.

I have the same passion in fashion. But my background doesn't allow me to involve too much in it. The only thing I can do is fashion blogging. Because I can take photos by my own, edit them and do experiment in my own room. But I still didn't make it because of some dilemma :D
I finally signed up a blogger account last April. A newborn.
I realized that I started late and thought, "how lucky famous fashion bloggers are"
Once, I opened Kakdi's first post. I was speechless and surprised, even Kak Di ever had no comment or followers. Yes, everything comes from zero, nothing is too late as long as you keep believing and struggling. So, I'd like to say, my favorite post is "The Dish Mission"

There may be lots of people say you're inspiring, Kak. So do I. Your words, stories and photos show people that dreams can absolutely come true. And it might sound silly, I am so happy to know you have the same birthday with me, 23 December. Huehehehe

Have a nice day, Kak :)

My most favorite post among all my favorite post in your blog is
Because I Couldn't Sleep, I Decided To Write

I have never thought before that you were grown in a non-art family background surrounded with banker life.
But you could finally show them that you have survived gaining what you want to achieve in this life and pursue what your passion is , despite your dad disagreed to you at first.

It simply gives me motivation, reading this post to keep fighting what dream I want to actualize, and never give up because when we have strong will and keep working for it, our environment also will support for ourselves. I also want to be successful finding the right carrier for the future. Thanks for sharing the experience :)

Hello Kak D, I've been reading your blog posts since 2009 which means... 3 years. I've been scrolling through your blog for 3 awesome years. I can't believe it myself, I just realized that now that I'm typing about it =))

I adore your quirky-preppy-colorful-asdaf fashion sense. From a blog for your own personal satisfaction to a shoe brand, you're an inspiration to me. Great job, Kak ;)

Among all the posts you have in here, it was hard for me to pick one that I like the most, but if I have to pick one that I will always remember... I'd say it's "When Life Hits You". At that time, I visited your blog on daily basis- yeah, I was procrastinating lol. Only yesterday you posted about something really happy and suddenly I saw that imageless post right up there on top of the page.

I started reading each and every sentence and by the end of the post I just realised that tears have flown down my cheeks. My chest feels so tight, and all I did for the next few minutes was blowing my nose.

You were so strong, despite the devastating news.

You managed to learn a lesson from that painful experience.

From that point on, you have been on my people-who-inspires-me list, along with Hillary Clinton, Walt Disney, and a doctor I particulary know. Hihihi.

I just want to remind you that in every step we take God will always be watching over us. God will always the best to all of us, and in every obstacle we find in life always remember that God always has a plan for us. Keep the faith, Kak D. You are not alone.

Keep posting GBU :)

My favorite blog post from Hot Chocolate and Mint is Stay Calm & Eat Cookies! When I read this post, I was standing in the zone point of mine. I was really sad, I missed all of my expectations about something.
But somehow, in a magical way, it's give me an enlightenment to keep struggling and face those troubles. Also a reminder for my self to keep enjoying the circle of life, whatever the conditions are :)
