Feeling Better

After two days of bed rest, I feel so much better! Isn't it amazing how having quality sleep really helps? Alhamdulillah...:)

So Good: Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

I just watched Me and Earl and the Dying Girl and for me, it is one of the best movies of 2015. My other version of 'best movie' is Mad Max hehehe. They two are totally different in genre, but I love them both.

I didn't know how I actually felt after watching Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. I was confused. It was so beautiful, the movie. It touched my heart I was left speechless. It's charming, it's witty, it's funny, it's moving, it's incredibly smart. It presents you with such genuine emotional interactions.

Although I did expect Greg and 'the dying girl' to fall in love eventually, they did not. Or maybe they did, but it was portrayed through very subtle lines. You can feel how Greg really loves her without having to say so. There was no forced romance scenes in it, but you can feel the love so deeply.

The cinematography was uniquely beautiful too. Its intriguing angles adds a whimsical tone to the whole movie. It feels so much like Greg himself, the 'me' character of the movie.
