Tickled!

If someone asked me what's lacking in Indonesia's fashion scene, I would say that we lack a sense of humor - of which, is needed to produce things that are quirky and kitschy. I think that most Indonesian fashion designers tend to go for the edgy and cool and minimalistic - which is nothing wrong or bad, but it can get boring sometimes. My eyes are hungry for things that tickle my brain - in a funny and appealing way. I think we need to have (more) designers that are fun, bold, and brave enough to almost reach that "tacky and lame" stage - but twist it in an elegant way.

Today I finally found (and bought) things at Cosmogirl Festival that fulfill my love for quirky and kitschy things. Thank you, God! :D

From watching your blog I always thought that “sense of humor” is a typical attribute of Indonesia's fashion! And I was dreaming of visiting Indonesia one day to see the streets full of colourfully dressed people like you :-) But as I think about it now, once I tried to google “indonesia fashion” to find some other fashion inspiration similar to yours and I couldn't find anything like it. So this post explains a lot to me! :-D

I believe that your fashion blog is absolutely outstanding here in Indonesia. I fully agree that nowadays most people like to go with the mainstream. The creativity that you show in your articles, together with a strong aspect of mix & match, enables young ladies to experiment more to find their own unique style.

true! the Indonesian kids nowadays just as same style as New Yorkers...
for true, I was get bored with kind of style natural tone colors, or edgy, minimal, yes its true that's the everlasting style, but don't forget about the rainbow colors.. we still have shocking blue combine shocking pink, or bright yellow mix fluor green....
Indonesia had so many colors to explore! so why people today loved to minimal?
sorry if my words sounds harsh... doesn't mean to be like that :)
only share my opinion in your blog.. :)
