Di, I just checked your indigo batik on the shop and was appalled at the price..Rp. 697.500.
That is, in my opinion a crazy markup. For all we know the batik makers charge barely a fraction of that price. I simply can't stand the idea of retailers overcharging customers and thinking they could get away with it.
I know that batik shouldn't cost that much, as I own a pretty Solo batik mini dress that I bought for Rp 25000 (no haggle). Granted, the quality could be lower than the Imogiri batik. Still, Rp. 697.500 is absurd.
Pls pardon me spilling my guts over here. I am just so sick of seeing too many greedy retailers in Indonesia, and worse, seeing customers buy into it. (pun not intended)
