I've been trying so hard to sleep, but I just can't. I hate insomnia, and I don't like Craig David either...;p
Anyway, I miss my friends a lot. They're all still there, living their usual routines, but everything feels different compared to when we were...well...younger. I've been expressing this feeling to some people, and I'd always receive a similar response..."you know, you grow up, and you dedicate your time to your loved one", and by loved one, they mean boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, or either their new little family.
I disagree. I just think there's always a way to balance things out, and we just simply should. I cannot imagine that I used to spend time with my best friends, and suddenly stopped doing so just because I have a boyfriend. I enjoy having my friends and boyfriend together, and I am very much relieved that S thinks the same way. We never mind having our Saturday nights shared with our friends, because we like the idea that friends are family, and families grow bigger, not smaller and get replaced.
I am in love with S, but he is not my whole world. He is metaphorically, but in real life, I need my friends just as much as I need S, my family, my work and self-being.
I miss you, dear friends.

Kita harus bisa memberi porsi yang tepat pada masing-masing bagian, agar tidak ada yang dirugikan
I totally agree diana..i've been feeling the same kind of frustration as well..not just becuz we grow but work life also makes us soo busy & exhausted hence we spend lesser time with our loved ones..

bebe, wait until you or your friends marry to someone and tell me you still balance your life between your partner and friends. I'm single but most of my friends are married so they have different side of priorities and yes, I must be available for them unconditionally while they hardly do the same to me. sad, but that's life that even carrie broadshaw should understand her married friends haha. always love your blog ;)
it's totally weird that 2 days ago I wrote about this things too in my blog. well, I realize that when we're growing older, we'll have more responsibility to be handled. it's not only about your spouse, but it's about everything. job, financial things, boyfriend's family. sooner or later, we have to arrange new priority, and re-think about where we supposes to locate our friends.
Buuut, I do agree that friends are important. They are like own family, they play simple but beautiful role in our life. Well, rearranging our priority for them doesn't mean that we forget them. We minimize quantity, but we still keep the quality. I believe good friends will understand. Cause it's life.
i copy your post, i like it so much... you can read it here

Haha.. seems like we're both facing the same thing.. friends since ages ago, then the "friendship" is suddenly replaced by "bf/gf relationship" *sigh*
boyfriend or husband is the love of our life. but friends are our soulmate. my friends and i planned to keep our friendship like the SATC series :)
just keep sharing, because maybe, friendship stops when we stops sharing.
thank you! :)
