because there remains a group of us
who hold on to our belief
that kindness is the only way
through
the ups and downs
and ins and outs
of life that can be hard and miserable
but also funny and glorious
because when your eyes are kind
and your heart is kind
you see life with understanding
and compassion and tolerance
you brush off the small annoyances
and say goodbye to big disturbances
by simply saying
"sorry, I don't wanna be here"
then walk away with a smile and carry on
Dear Kak D,
ReplyDeleteThank you for continuing to post on your blog. I’ve been a fan since 2010, and I can honestly say I’m obsessed with everything you share here. Discovering you back in high school truly brightened my days—it gave me a spark, a sense of purpose, and inspiration that went deep into my core.
You inspired me so much that I dreamed of following in your footsteps and attending the same university—Universitas Indonesia, Faculty of Engineering. I did get in, though in the Architecture program. Sadly, after six years of trying, I didn’t make it to graduation.
But life turned out beautifully in its own way. I dropped out, found my true self, built a new circle, and began living a life that feels truly mine. I got married. Then life kept unfolding—again, again, and again. Now, I have a son, just like you. And once more, I find myself relating deeply to your posts.
In every moment of burnout and quiet struggle, I always return to your blog. It grounds me. It aligns with my journey. Every word you write feels like home.
Thank you for existing. Whatever you're facing right now, I want you to know: you're doing beyond amazing. You've been my inspiration through every phase of life.
Thank you, once again.
We've got this. 💛
